Oh fuck… Kure-nai has come to an end. While I’d love the series to continue it’s probably best it ended now. Nothing like a good show going stale because there are too many episodes. So Shinkurou has made it back to the Inner Sanctuary to try and save Murasaki. At the same time we see a pretty damn cool car chase in the snow; though it seemed far-fetched for them to be able to drive like that in the snow. But hey, when you have a kid with a huge horn in his arm you can’t really expect 100% realism. The show didn’t really quite end how I was hoping. Deep down I was hoping that Murasaki would go back with Shinkurou and everyone would be happy. But alas she stayed at the Kuhouin’s to try and fight the traditions. Her father didn’t quite play the role of hero that I was predicting, but I don’t completely hate his guts after all was said and done. It is not often that I find an anime that is the total package. Kure-nai was far from perfect, but definitely something I will come back to time and time again. There was some dodgy character designs (mostly with the faces) and I really could have done without the musical episode, but other than that I pretty much loved it. The story was great, the art was beautiful, the characters were rememberable; just a great drama down to the bone. 94/100
